Above Baseline

Cognitive performance, rhythm, focus

What keeps you from focusing starts with a measurement.

12 questions, 3 minutes. You get a score out of 100 and the breakdown of the six domains, each scored separately. Then, and only then, a protocol built from your own wake-up time and bedtime.

The test is free.

Sleep Energy Mood Memory Learning Motivation
The six domains measured by the test.

The starting point

It is not willpower. It is your setup.

You wake up at a different time every day. Your last coffee is at 4:00 PM. You see daylight for the first time around noon, through a window.

Then you start looking at your discipline. The test looks elsewhere. It scores six domains separately, and the protocol is built from your own wake-up time and bedtime.

You need to know which of your six domains is the lowest. That is what the measurement is for.

The method

Measurement comes before the protocol.

Six domains, scored separately. You see which one is the lowest, not just your overall score.

A low score on one domain is not a diagnosis. If you are worried about your sleep, mood, or memory, talk to a healthcare professional.

  1. 01 You answer

    12 questions, 3 minutes.

The first two ask for your own wake-up time and bedtime. Six score one domain each. The other four set your context: daylight, coffee, exercise, and the time of day when you feel at your best.

  2. 02 You get a score

A score out of 100, plus the breakdown of the six domains. Each domain keeps its own score.

  3. 03 The protocol is calculated

Built from your own wake-up time and bedtime. Not from a standard schedule, not from one rule for everyone.

The protocol

Three levels. You pick the one you can stick to.

Three levels of commitment, chosen before you start.

Level 1, soft, 14 days

Same wake-up time. 8.5 hours of sleep.

Level 2, medium, 21 days

Wake-up 1 hour earlier. 8 hours of sleep.

Level 3, hard, 30 days

5:00 AM wake-up, 7.5 hours of sleep, and a measurement every day.

Plan on about 30 minutes a day at Level 1, and about 1.5 hours at Level 3. Supplements are optional.

Be honest with yourself. A light protocol you finish beats an ambitious protocol you drop on day 4.

If you have been diagnosed with a sleep disorder, or if you are receiving medical treatment, talk to your doctor before changing your sleep schedule.

The limits

What this is not.

  • Not medical advice. If you take medication, or if you have been diagnosed with a sleep disorder, talk to your doctor first.
  • Not a diagnosis. The test is a questionnaire. It scores six domains separately. It detects nothing.
  • Not a promise. Nothing is guaranteed here. You either stick to a protocol or you don't.

Questions

What to know before you start.

How long does the test take?

12 questions, 3 minutes.

What do I get at the end?

A score out of 100, the breakdown of the six domains scored separately, and a protocol built from your own wake-up time and bedtime. You pick the level.

Does the test ask for my email?

Yes. The form comes after the security screen and before the 12 questions: first name, last name, email, and phone, plus your consent. Your score and your protocol then show up on screen right away, with no email to wait for.

Why two different addresses?

diagnostic.abovebaseline.co and protocole.abovebaseline.co open the same app. Use whichever one you remember.

Do I have to take anything?

Nothing is mandatory. The protocol is built from your own wake-up time and bedtime. Supplements are an option, never a requirement.

Is this medical advice?

No. This isn't medical advice. It's educational content on cognitive performance. For any health concern, talk to a healthcare professional.
